hand stitched notebook
The Brand: Nestled in the small, mossy seaside town of Port Townsend in Washington, Kata Golda was founded by Alison Kaplan. Gathering inspiration from the subtle details of the natural world and the possibilities of botanical color, Alison hand crafts and dyes each embroidered piece in her collection. By carefully selecting environmentally friendly materials, using up every little scrap of fabric, and reusing supplies as much as possible, Kata Golda strives to produce zero waste (producing less than one can of garbage a year!) and have the lowest impact on our planet as possible.
Description: This notebook feels like a hug with a flower. Each notebook is covered with plant-dyed hemp & organic cotton fabric, allowing for a slight variation in each color. (The plant dye recipe is included with each book!) Comprised of hand torn blank paper in a soft white hue, it is ideal for drawing and writing with pen or pencil. The exposed spine stitching allows the book to lay flat when open. Available in 5 hand-embroidered designs - owl (charcoal), bird (pale orange) , moon & stars (light indigo), flower (lavender brown) and fern (green).
Details: 3 ¼ inches x 6 ¼ inches, 104 pages, acid free 80# text paper, heavy plant dyed fabric cover, stitch bound. Pencil, pen, and ink friendly.
A Note From Erika: These are so special. Alison’s kind nature is expressed beautifully in these notebooks. Every detail is considered.
