handmade olive oil soap bars
The Brand: Sarah Ryhanen founded Saipua, a floral and soap-making studio in Brooklyn, in 2006. (Saipua means “soap” in Finnish, a nod to Sarah's heritage!) The studio has since moved to upstate New York and has grown into a small-scale diversified homestead farm - growing flowers, raising Icelandic sheep, and nurturing relationships between land, self, and community. The soap is made to help support the farm, and is made in small batches by Sarah’s mom Susan using olive, coconut, castor oil and shea butter scented with high quality essential oils.
Description: Every moment of unwrapping these soaps is special - from the delicate creases and folds of the handmade paper, to the gold foiled lettering on the belly band label, to the incredible scent combinations of each soap bar. These foam exquisitely - they are truly wonderful addition to your sink or bathtub. Also make for a luxurious gift!
Details: 3 in. x 2.5 in. x 1.5 in., wrapped in paper, composed of olive, coconut and castor oils, shea butter and essential oils * coffee mint has coffee grounds and lavender oatmeal has ground oats- both for exfoliating
A Note From Erika: I love these soaps and the mission behind them. The coffee mint is great at getting rid of onion smell from your hands.
