The Brand: Based in Cologno Monzese, Italy (just outside of Milan), Ellepi was founded by the stationery designer Oscar Lepre in 1977. The brand, still made up of a small team, is known for making versatile vintage-style office supplies made of metal materials.

Description: Originally designed in 1984 by Oscar Lepre, the founder of Ellepi, this stapler references the gracefulness of ocean giants with a striking silhouette inspired by whales. The elegant design features square edges, an easy-to-squeeze handle, and an enamel powder-coated finish. Assembled by hand from steel, it’s durable and practical, not to mention refined. It can easily handle more than 10 sheets of paper at a time and comes with 1000, famously small, “punti 76” staples.
